HVAC Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician at Darrin Wood & Son Heating & Cooling, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Your expertise will ensure the comfort and satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation units.
- Follow blueprints, specifications, and safety guidelines during installations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Diagnosing and Troubleshooting
- Identify and diagnose issues with HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
- Perform necessary repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to understand their HVAC needs.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns.
- Explain system operation and maintenance to clients.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Safely handle refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members.
- Assist in training junior HVAC technicians.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant HVAC experience.
Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation principles.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues correctly and efficiently.
Physical Stamina: HVAC work involves standing, lifting, climbing, and working in many differing conditions, including very hot and very cold temperatures.
Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record and valid license required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
